A picture of Imogen today
Okay, so Hadley came running out of her room with the squid costume in hand proclaiming Imogen wanted to wear it with feverish enthusiasm. Yeah right! But, I happily obliged to see how many laughs I could get out of it, and how many tears Imogen would shed because of it. Well, it was rather small, but she happily tried it on. Well, maybe not exactly happily, but close enough. So yeah, this is Imogen in what I thought was Hadley's retired first Halloween costume. Too cute, too funny.
So this evening, Hadley and I went to Target and Publix. Everything was going wonderfully until we got to the checkout at the grocery store. Hadley had cut her pinkie finger earlier this afternoon, not sure on what exactly, sometime before this picture was taken, and it was bleeding pretty profusely and we couldn't get it to stop. So, we bandaged it up promptly. Anyway, we get to the checkout this evening, and her bandaid falls off. She panicks, the cut is still looking rather gross, and I tell her will fix it as soon as we get home. Well, that's not good enough for Hadley, so she puts the slippery sucker back on, and is pretty pleased with that. The clerk sees all this and asks, "Did you hurt your finger." She says, "I lost my bendage (she calls it that). I was bleeding.", puckers her lips up real sad and finishes with, in her most pathetic voice, "I had a bad day." I just couldn't help but laugh. Apparently, she did have a bad day though, because she just fell asleep right on the couch today, which is rare for our hyper Hadley.
So, since her first birthday, or actually, our vacation to the midwest, Immy has just been happier. It's almost as if she's a different baby. Maybe she's happy because she got so many wonderful presents from everyone! Whatever the case, we are enjoying this new attitude a bunch. Maybe we need to visit our friends and family more often. Mommy and Daddy certainly wouldn't mind that, as we always love seeing the ones we miss sooo much! Well, we didn't get to see EVERYONE, but you were on our minds, of course! And hopefully, we'll get to see EVERYONE again very soon! We love you, we miss you bunches and bunches!
