Imogen & Hadley

The girls sharing a cuddly moment at Disney World this past week. We had fun together and I was brave enough to do Disney w/o Eric! Posted by Picasa

Lil' Squirt Imogen

Okay, so Hadley came running out of her room with the squid costume in hand proclaiming Imogen wanted to wear it with feverish enthusiasm. Yeah right! But, I happily obliged to see how many laughs I could get out of it, and how many tears Imogen would shed because of it. Well, it was rather small, but she happily tried it on. Well, maybe not exactly happily, but close enough. So yeah, this is Imogen in what I thought was Hadley's retired first Halloween costume. Too cute, too funny. Posted by Picasa

Imogen Welcomes Alberto

Okay, so this might seem insane, but it's not as bad as it appears. We woke up to what I believe was the first tropical storm of the season this morning. It was a surprise for Eric and I. While we had heard of some tropical storm talk, we didn't realize today was the day for it. Nothing special happened here really, just lots and lots of rain. Which, as you can see, didn't deter our little Imogen from enjoying a few messy minutes outdoors. She does look cold, as Eric points out, but I can assure you that the temperature down here did not dip in the least. And, immediately after puddle play, we made our way to the nice, warm bath. Ahhh.....

Hadley had a bad day

So this evening, Hadley and I went to Target and Publix. Everything was going wonderfully until we got to the checkout at the grocery store. Hadley had cut her pinkie finger earlier this afternoon, not sure on what exactly, sometime before this picture was taken, and it was bleeding pretty profusely and we couldn't get it to stop. So, we bandaged it up promptly. Anyway, we get to the checkout this evening, and her bandaid falls off. She panicks, the cut is still looking rather gross, and I tell her will fix it as soon as we get home. Well, that's not good enough for Hadley, so she puts the slippery sucker back on, and is pretty pleased with that. The clerk sees all this and asks, "Did you hurt your finger." She says, "I lost my bendage (she calls it that). I was bleeding.", puckers her lips up real sad and finishes with, in her most pathetic voice, "I had a bad day." I just couldn't help but laugh. Apparently, she did have a bad day though, because she just fell asleep right on the couch today, which is rare for our hyper Hadley. Posted by Picasa

Hadley, Mommy, & The Bean

Here we are at Millennium Park in Chicago by the Bean. Hadley was more impressed with the fountain and all of the kids getting wet instead. Posted by Picasa

A Happier Imogen

So, since her first birthday, or actually, our vacation to the midwest, Immy has just been happier. It's almost as if she's a different baby. Maybe she's happy because she got so many wonderful presents from everyone! Whatever the case, we are enjoying this new attitude a bunch. Maybe we need to visit our friends and family more often. Mommy and Daddy certainly wouldn't mind that, as we always love seeing the ones we miss sooo much! Well, we didn't get to see EVERYONE, but you were on our minds, of course! And hopefully, we'll get to see EVERYONE again very soon! We love you, we miss you bunches and bunches! Posted by Picasa

Imogen ate the cake

The first birthday was such a wonderful success! We truly loved watching Imogen enjoy her first birthday (especially the cake, of course). She was in great spirits and seemed to like the attention. She took it all in stride, for sure. Posted by Picasa
