Tatumn's 5th Grade Graduation
Tatum
n graduated from fifth grade today! Can anyone believe it? It seems just yesterday I was reading my bald baby her tenth book in a row and taking her to daycare at Purdue. She won't be switching schools and will stay at Pine View for middle school so that will be very nice for her to not have to make any large transitions. She will acquire a locker next year but she already changes teachers and classrooms throughout the day so there will be no adjustment there. So... now we can now look forward to a wonderful summer with family and friends in Florida and Indiana before returning to middle school as a big sixth grader!
Tatumn's Boyfriend
Here's a picture of Tatumn & Oliver (Ollie) and there's a history here. Ollie likes our little Tate (well, big Tate, comparatively) and they've really been best friends this year. Ollie crafted a rose with a green stem out of masking tape for her this past Valentine's Day (VERY impressive and VERY intricate) and asked her to the end of year dance this year. He's such a sweet boy.

Hadley Is One Sick Little Girl
So the last twenty-four hours have been a bit worrisome. Our little Hadley Bear is very sick and has been having trouble breathing. She was a bit feverish and lethargic on Sunday (yesterday) but by Sunday night, she woke up unable to breathe, running a fever of 102 and I rushed her to the emergency room. While there, her fever went up to 103 after the staff administered Tylenol but after the Motrin, it finally went down. They treated her(breathing treatment), said they thought she had croup and sent her home. We got home at 3:30 a.m. and she went to bed. By 8:00 this morning, she woke up panicked and unable to breathe again. I rushed her to her doctor ( I knew she needed emergency care again) and I figured her doctor is right by the hospital so she could go promptly to the e.r. Well... the doctor took one look at her and told the nurse to call an ambulence to take her to the hospital. She proceeded to administer two breathing treatments, medicine to get the fever down, and then we were on our way to the hospital. So here I sit, next to the sweetest patient in the world. She remains positive but is still struggling to breathe (think asthma-like breathing) and up to a fever of 103 again and is being treated with steroids, an iv, and breathing treatments. Her vitals are good but I'm still worried frantic, Eric and I both are, but this is the best place for her to be. The prognosis is not clear. Like I said, at first they thought it was croup but some of the symptoms don't seem to match it. So I don't know. I had to blog, to do something. I'm just going crazy with fear and worry and hope she feels much better by tomorrow. So...we'll see. Eric and I are here with her, the staff adores our sweet, kind, and talkative daughter. And while she does not have the use of her true voice (she talks in a faint whisper), she's as kind as can be. We'll keep everyone posted. I really thought she would be feeling better by now, but it's the breathing....it's scary.... but hopefully, tomorrow will bring a healthier Hadley.
