A Birthday in the House

Hadley Turns 4

Hadley had a wonderful birthday and really enjoyed every moment of it, we all did. She really appreicated every gift she got and was so excited the whole time (it's ALL on video). The night began with dinner by request at her favorite place, "Red Lobsters!" She actually ordered crab. She said, I don't want LIVE crab, I want food crab. Then we headed home for a Cinderella cake and lots of special gifts. Even though everyone was not here to celebrate this special occassion, you were here in spirit and we missed you all. The gifts from across the miles were extra special and the cat theme was perfect, of course! Hadley/Kitty really loved everything to pieces!

Bad Hair Day

This is a new definition and illustration of "bad hair", isn't it? I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a bigger mess than this. Imogen woke up to surprise us with her do and her mood was so complimentary to the hair. Gotta love her.

Fourth of July 2007

Us, minus one

Capturing a nice picture of Hadley? Impossible, of course!

Eric and I being silly

So it was a wonderful holiday and plenty humid, too. We spent the earlier part of the day around the house with everyone including Jane, David, & Gram-Gram having a wonderfully delicious cookout. Eric made the best bleu cheese burgers with TONS of fresh garlic and sauteed onions and mushrooms (my absolute fave)! It was very enjoyable. Then, for the evening, we made our way to St. Petersburg for the first time to their fireworks on the pier. While it looked like it might rain (no surprise during this time of year), it only sprinkled around 6 o'clock for a few minutes. By nine, it was clear and lovely and the kids were finally settled in too. Initially, they were slightly crabby but after a couple unhealthy corndogs, some pirate's booty, and one funnel cake later, they were more than perfect and all set to enjoy the beautiful fireworks display. Imogen was a bit apprehensive, as she always is with fireworks, but after a few ooohs and ahhhs, she was just fine and looked to enjoy the show as much as everyone else did. It really was a great time!
