I hope that your vacation has been good. We went to the fireworks and Taste last year. The fireworks on the 3rd are much better than those on the 4th-this year they lasted 10 minutes. We thought that it was going to be really crowded-being Chicago and all. We picked a spot on the grass around 5 and sat for over 4 hours (thinking that it would get packed). Not to complain but being pregos and all the walking, and chasing kids, I was no fun. How did you like the taste? I would only go again with no kids. You just can't move in the crowd. We stayed closed to Navy Pier, to make the walk less-still too far. AND they have Mad Cabbie there-I will blog about it, if I can remember it all and write it without seeming like I hate Chicago!
