FINALLY, the third and LAST trimester!

Okay, so I'm behind again. It's been busy around here and will continue to be for the next two weeks or so. I made Eric promise to take a picture last Saturday, but as you can see, we haven't gotten too far with that. Soon!

So, things are going well. I am 28 weeks and five days today. I'm still getting sick once in awhile but the baby seems to be growing and is as active as ever. Sometimes I get punches that make me jump or cry out in pain, but it's all good. We do have a few things we would still like to do to prepare for the baby, but if he came today, we would be pretty darn set. Well, except for the crib and mattress. We plan to get that this weekend at Ikea as a gift from Grandma and Paka and we're very excited about it. It will be much appreciated, that's for sure.

Yesterday was Eric's 31st birthday! We went to dinner and thereafter had some cake and gifts with the extended family. It was fun and very nice to celebrate. It was seafood, as is the usual fare for nearly everyone in our family on their birthdays.

The girls are done with school next week. This makes me panicky. I'm a bit scared for summer, as I'm a moose and want the kids to have some fun but am not in a "fun" place right now. Activity is not fun for me and I imagine I'll feel like less fun as the summer continues and I get bigger. I will have to fake it, I suppose and hopefully, along the way, will not be so uncomfortable that I actually DO enjoy myself for the kids' sake. The good news is that the pool is in pretty good shape and we've hired the pool guy for the summer, at least. This way, we'll have fun right in our back yard and I hope to utilize it on most days. Daddy has been taking the girls on short bike rides with their new tandem bike and they love this. Imogen could use a few more inches on her to make it comfortable but she'll be there in no time. Hadley feels very accomplished when she bikes with Eric and Tatumn and comes back totally pumped up and excited. It's quite cute. Tatumn has been given my bike and I think I remind her every chance I get how much I loved and miss that bike. She doesn't get my fondness for it, but that's okay. She certainly rides better with my bike, opposed to her last one. She was always shakey on it and made me a nervous wreck. I don't think she learned to ride a bike until she was eight! That bike is still like new and will be Hadley's before summer's end. I hope Hadley has better luck with it, but I won't count on it.

So yes, it's crazy here right now. There are appointments coming up next week like crazy, end of the year school programs, and parties, including Imogen's fourth birthday! A crazy concept, her turning four already. She's bursting with excitement in anticipation, as you could guess.
