Updates

It's been awhile since I've posted, so I figured it was time to post something, anything. Since I'm too lazy to go the desktop and retrieve pictures, this will be a photoless post. I'm still having more sick days than good, but things are on the up and up and I have good days here and there. We had an ultrasound on Friday, I'm almost thirteen weeks along, and things are looking very good. The doctor could not determine the gender of the baby yet, but has been able to for many couples as early as ten weeks. This makes us think, since he didn't see anything, that we're having another girl. So, time will tell and we'll find out in early March. I have to say, from what I did see, it did, indeed, look like a girl to me. If it is a boy, he might be embarrassed by this post down the road, huh? We are very excited to find out, that's for sure. I had hoped for a surprise with at least one baby, but since we haven't had any boys, we want to know.

Hadley knows our family is expanding and is utterly excited for a new baby. She's already rubbing my tummy and talking to the "peanut" all the time. She loves to look at pictures of the baby's development all the time and wants to know how much the baby is growing on a nearly daily basis. She's so sweet, as anyone who knows her would expect her to be. Imogen is nearly as excited as Hadley but with her competitive nature, she sometimes says she's having a baby too. Funny stuff. Tatumn is old enough to be sympathetic to my condition but calculates that this baby will be thirteen when she's twenty-six. Yeah, crazy stuff.

I do think that we should rename the baby, Brownie, since that's about all I subsisted on for most of the first trimester. I was severely concerned about this little one until I saw the ultrasound and was reassured that things are looking very good. I hope to be able to expand my diet soon.

Eric is great and has been a HUGE help for me these last few months. Sometimes I think he's exasperated but he grits his teeth and does another huge favor for me. He played miniature golf with Hadley today and taught Imogen how to play Little, Big Planet with her insistance that she COULD play, and did she ever! She nearly finished the first level all by herself! She jumped and everything. It was so very adorable. And while normally I wouldn't condone such early video-gaming, I made this exception for Immy because she really wanted to participate. Once she was successful with it and enjoyed it, I think she felt accomplished. She didn't play for long either. She was willing to move on to other things.

Last night, Tatumn had a friend stay over and we finished the weekend after going to Tate's soccer game. They didn't win, but they played hard and had fun. The official season ends in February with a tournament in March.

So that's about it. School is going well for the girls, I'm getting better, and Eric has been busy with work and the family. I'll try to post some pictures soon, but I'm so behind. I haven't even posted the pictures from Christmas yet! Oh well. Just one thing I'll have to work at, but hopefully sooner than later.

Grace

So much has been said. There's still so much left to say. Our Grace may be gone but she will live on through us forever.

"I could never love again, so much as I love you. Where you end and I begin is like a river going through. Take my eyes. Take my heart. I need them no more. If never again they fall upon the one I so adore." "She broke my heart. My Grace is gone."-D.M.
