25 Weeks

Okay, so I'm a couple of weeks behind in my documentation of this pregnancy, or a week at least. I think I meant to take a photo at 24 weeks. Since last week was a bit tough, as the nausea returned a bit, I declined to get a shot. So yes, I'm 25 weeks today with the little man. Wish I could say the same about mommy (the little part). I can't tell you how frustrating it was not to be able to get a single shot without my double chin too. Yep, pregnancy rounds out my face, not to mention other areas, EVERYTIME. I probably wouldn't stress about it so much, but then again, I've never posted pictures during any pregnancy for all to see. Oh yes, as you can see, as well, I also got my glasses today! It's amazing how much they can relieve a headache that seemingly wouldn't go away. Nice! But little baby is kicking away these days! Tatumn and Hadley have been taking a beating these last couple of weeks and they've been pretty stunned about his capabilities in there. Even as I type this, he kicks away. I suppose things will be cramped in there VERY soon. I guess he's taking advantage of the space for now. Such a strong one! The next appointment is a bit over a week from now and hopefully, things will be good. We are almost %100 certain on his name and have even decided on his middle names, yes names. He will have two of them, like two of his sisters. I think there's little chance of turning back with our decision now. When I attempted to change Imogen's name toward the end of the pregnancy, the immediate family would NOT hear of it. They had become so accustomed to calling her by that name, so I didn't feel it would be very nice of me to do that to the girls and Eric. I do, on occassion, ask Eric if he has any new names that he's interested in talking about, but the answer is always, "No." I'm pretty content with that answer, and this is saying A LOT if you know me. Let's see if I'll be as content posting my next picture a few weeks from now....

Our Family Easter Egg Hunt

What appeared to be the most exciting event on Easter was the egg hunt we did this year for Hadley and Imogen. Tatumn and I went to the park before everyone else and hid all the eggs for them. Then we gave them the all-clear call and the entire family was able to come and see the girls run excitedly from egg to egg they found. Hadley was a pro, collecting 3/4 of the eggs, while Imogen wanted to open each egg she found and see what was inside immediately. It was too cute and it was nice that the whole family could be an audience for this fun event. We will DEFINITELY repeat this next year!

Tate & the Tree Frog

While we were outside taking pictures, we spotted a tree frog on the mailboxes. Tatumn approached it and it wanted to cuddle, I suppose, and jumped right on her back! She wasn't fazed by this, but you would expect that from her. It stayed for a small while and then jumped right to a nice tree, where it belonged, in my opinion!

Hadley with her Easter Bunny, Alice

Hadley posed for a few pictures with her bunny, Alice. All the girls received identical bunnies, except in color, in their baskets. Hadley had to pick a name for hers right away. She excitedly exclaimed, "She's Alice!"

Imogen & the CANDY!

I couldn't resist. Here's Imogen enjoying ALL the candy on Easter morning. She's really got the routine down, as she did not even hesitate to break into so much sugar, reaching first for the coveted chocolate bunny and biting off his ears! Is it scary? Yes, I truly sit there saying to myself, "Is the morally responsible of me to allow a child to break into candy like this?" Adding the fact that it's EARLY in the morning seriously almost makes me break out in a sweat. As you can see, she's not sweating it at all. In fact, she's so gosh darn happy she could bust!

Easter A.M.

Easter baskets are a BIG thing in our house since everyone understands that candy/small gifts are involved. Hadley was thrilled with the stuffed bunny inside the most, as most would suspect, Imogen loved the candy by far, and Tatumn tried to pretend she was much too old for this tradition but I know she secretly loved the goodies inside. I love making the girls baskets, as I have such fond memories of the wonderful baskets my mom put together for me year after year. And while I could never reduplicate the lovely baskets I found waiting for me on Easter morning, I continuously try to do the same for the girls. Surprisingly, I always find they are pleasantly surprised and very happy with them.
