Hadley's Day Off

No school for Hadley today, or Tate, for that matter, but she slept in. On the way to get Immy from school, Hadley decided to serenade her brother. He's a basket case in the car, so we're always looking for ways to avoid the drama, or at least try and stop it.

Preschool Halloween Celebration

Imogen dressed up as a ballerina kitty for her school's Halloween celebration today. She was quite pleased with it. I had hoped they would put on a parade for all of the families so we could see all the cuties together, but they didn't. Apparently, they had a private parade amongst the students and staff only. When I heard this was the plan, I got some quick pictures. When I picked her up at the end of her day, she was excited to tell me about the parade and all of the costumes she liked. I was very glad I did not send her in the costume that she'll be wearing for Halloween night. I have a feeling it would have been a mess by the day's end. Whew!

Finding the Perfect Pumpkin

We FINALLY picked out our pumpkins this week! It took a good deal of time, but we got it done. It's hard work finding just the right pumpkin for carving. Tatumn and Imogen wanted pumpkins on the larger size and Hadley initally wanted a small one. In the end, she got a decently-sized pumpkin and got the wee one for her brother. Next, is the carving. Pictures to come soon!

NHS Induction-Tatumn

This week was an exciting one for us. We had the pleasure of attending Tate's National Honor Society induction at school. While there were a good number of students who were accepted into NHS at her school, there were many who were not. We are very proud of her hard work. This week she also received an award for her outstanding performance in her Algebra I Honors course. She's amazing!

Oh, His Hair!

So I gave Mister a bath this afternoon and this is what became of his hair. Wowza! Fluff, fluff, and more fluff. Apparently, Burt's Bees can be good if you have a lack of volume.

1st Game of the Season

The official start of the soccer season has arrived! Tatumn plays midfield, for the most part. The girls worked hard during yesterday's game and were completely exhausted when it was all said and done. They didn't win, but it was a good game anyway.

Rafferty

Here's Rafferty at Tate's game. Was it ever HOT! He did fairly well but the heat was so intense, we had to take car breaks. It was 90 degrees. We can't wait for a cooler game day to come our way!

His Hairdo, His Best Friend

Okay, so I caved and found some baby hair gel for the Mister (thanks for the recommendation Abbi). As you can see, his hair is getting loooong. I didn't realize it was quite this long until we "styled" it. Yeah, it's sloppy, but we wanted to see what this stuff could do as soon as we got it in the mail. As you can see, it does hold. Don't think I'd recommend it everyday, even if it is meant for babies and children and claims to be all-natural, but it was fun. Rafferty had mixed feelings at first, but by the end, he was happy enough, as you can see (really he's smiling at Tatumn). :)

Speaking of, I don't know if I've talked about just how much Tatumn adores this kid, but she certainly does. Already, they really have a bond. Not that he doesn't really appreciate the antics of his other sisters, as he always watches them in awe, but they can't tote him around and engage him like Tate can. He thinks she's the best. They have lots of fun together and she's always willing to give a hand when he's inconsolable. She'll pace in circles with him for a few minutes (he loves movement when he's fussy, like most babies) while I try to manage other pressing things. She's always so helpful with him and we REALLY appreciate it with all the chaos around here these days. Thanks so much big sister for all you do!
