Fourth of July Weekend

I'm always wishing we biked into the city more as a family, or heck, alone, but I always want to share my excursions with my entire family.  Sometimes, they're not too keen on my whims, as I can be pretty spontaneous and decide to go on a bike ride to the city at 5pm on a Sunday (as Hadley and I did on Father's Day weekend and she was the only one that was game.  Go figure. :) ).  My goal was to make it to Buckingham Fountain before sunset.  We did it easily that weekend!  And that ride was so fun, I convinced most of the family to go along for the ride yesterday.  We were sans Tate (she had other plans) but we left around lunchtime to make it to the most amazing Daley and Millennium parks on the most gorgeous of days.  Of course, excursions like this always present multiple opportunities for photos, so yeah, overkill.  What can I say?  I love taking pictures of my loves.  We did the day totally free with lunch and snacks on the lawn topped with italian-style soda.  I'm proud of that since it's usually too easy to drive, pay for parking, buy some food or Garrett's, and then you've spent at least a million.  So yes, I must also brag about being so thrifty!
