Rafferty's enthusiasm for this game was unbelievable and that enthusiasm made for one exciting game for his parents. Talk about passionate and hard-working! He was such a leader this first game and took great initiative on the field and it was unbelievable. He played indoor soccer two years ago and if he didn't have possession of the ball at all times, he lost his ever living mind and punked out and wanted to go home. It was messy, for sure. Today, for his very first formal outdoor soccer game, that same enthusiasm took him to another place, but he did it with so much more restraint and maturity. He must've had possession of the ball at least 50% of the time for the first games and he scored, too!!! His coach personally congratulated him after the game and told him he was the hardest playing player for the day. It was certainly fun to watch, that's for sure. Hope we get to see such exciting contributions to his team continue for the season. He seemed to be getting the hang of playing as a team quickly and when he seemed to be getting tired, he tried to play goalie on his own accord (they don't have goalies yet) to keep the opponents from scoring. Impressive, for sure! Go, Green Sharks!!! Go, Raf!!!
