This Kid

Ah, Kindergarten Tea, again.  These students perform songs and routines that will make you weep in an instant.  It's very, very touching and will make you cry rivers.  Rafferty was so proud of his contributions this go around.  It's been such a big year for him.  He's grown oh so much, and everyone in his school community agrees that an extra year to be a kid was the very best decision for him.  He's told me multiple times that now that he can read, he'd like to get a job as a butler or pastry chef or just go straight to college.  Sweet boy.  If I could stop time so that we can linger at the place where he's still my little boy who kisses my forehead, places pillows under my head, and tells me he loves his whole family the most, I wouldn't be too sad.  But truly, the growing up is a wonderful thing to witness, and so, I will try my best to embrace it.
