Did Tatumn REALLY Turn Seventeen?!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know every year I lament about how my kids are getting so big so fast and it's pretty cliche, but it's so darn true.  Where the hell does the time go?!! This year was so extra bittersweet when Tatumn decided to grow up, become a senior, turn seventeen and now, threaten to move away in less than a year.  Less than a year, people!!! And now, everything feels so sacred, and even though I don't always celebrate in a proper, big way, I FEEL it.  I feel it so deep down, how time is just slipping away, how my baby is soon to leave us.  Everything we do as a family now, I think quietly to myself how this is the last time, the last time we'll all truly be together, under the same roof, enjoying each other, tolerating each other and it doesn't matter because the biggest thing is that it's the last time.  Birthdays, holidays, outtings, it's always the last time now and it's not fair.  I can't wrap my mind around it AT ALL.  I also know, I'll never stop worrying that she's okay, that's she's safe.  We love you Tatumn and are so looking forward to your future and all your new adventures but for the next several months, we'll enjoy our little, last adventures here with you and you'll have to tolerate us just a little bit longer because we love you.   Happy Birthday to our Tater Tot.
