Summer was truly magical this year. Sure, summer is special just because it's summer, but it was extra special this year. More than a week at Disney, our time at the beaches here, in Evanston, and in Florida, visiting family and friends, and blueberry picking are etched in our memories now. Sure, we could've done more, but it was pretty grand. We made it summer until the last moments and ended it with a LONG roadtrip home from Orlando in our small, little car built for six and no more than that with our luggage bulging from the inside and up top on the roof of the car. We ended our summer with the sun setting on a beautiful last day of summer, pulling into Evanston, knowing the next day began another school year. We took it to the limits of time and it may have taken more time than usual to recover (just now blogging about it proves this point), but it was so worth it. I love my family, the kids, my husband, and summer. Thanks to all of these things for the most magical memories. Until next year....
