Cowles Bog (Easter Sunday)

This day is in the memory book and it was amazing one.  Tatumn had to bow out for projects that are coming due for end of the year at school and for that, I was truly bummed.  I made her promise to come next time and hopefully we'll have that opportunity.  But besides that, the weather was so amazing, things were turning green before our eyes, and it was almost hot at times.  Cowles Bog is a place my parents took me when I was a kid, and I have fond memories of my hikes there.  We've shared it with our kids over the years, too, and we hope to foster a love for this place in them.  As long as I am near it, I will always want to come back because it encompasses the natural beauty of the midwest and the lake.  It wraps what makes the area special all into a nice package with its bog, the hiking, the hills, the dunes, and the lake.  It's just awesome.
